The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees day-to-day operational aspects, functions and workflows of Compliance auditing, monitoring, and data reporting and Quality Improvement initiatives and experience feedback. The QA Supervisor oversees a team and directly participates in tasks including ensuring accuracy of clinical documents, review of specialist billing add-ons, receipt and response to client concerns and complaints, review of internal incident reports. The QA Supervisor also provides training to new and existing clinical staff on compliance and quality related items. The QA Supervisor trains new staff, oversees work assignments, guides and coaches and performs administrative tasks related to direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Oversee day-to-day operations pertaining to Compliance monitoring and auditing, and Quality Improvement functions.
Participate in and oversee the work of others related to service encounter review and correction.
Research and pull applicable data related to investigations.
Facilitates timely response and submission of critical incident reports
Work with clinical program departments to develop efficient workflows and accuracy of service encounter reporting and billing.
Provide direct supervision to compliance and quality improvement employees, including allocation or workload, timecard approval, time off requests, oversight of training completion, training of new employees.
Provide guidance, problem solving, coaching and corrective action as appropriate.
Develop, conduct, participate and facilitate compliance and quality related trainings throughout FBH.
Assist Director of Compliance and Quality Improvement to prepare for external audits as needed.
Address complaints and resolve problems following internal review processes and assistance from clinical treatment teams when necessary.
Train agency staff members during orientation and refresher trainings to ensure understanding of expectations and workflows.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL HAVE:
REQUIRED:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
2 years of experience leading a team.
2 years billing and documentation review experience. Applicable college. education or specialty certification may be substituted for some experience.
2 years of experience in training, including large group training.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to manage a large team, while promoting a teamwork environment.
Strong communication skills, including both verbally and in written format.
Knowledge of medical terminology including billing and coding.
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office products. Strong preference for experience in working with Electronic Health Records.
Able to work in a team environment, in a group setting, and in collaboration with others from diverse backgrounds.

PAY RANGE (Hourly/ Non-Exempt): $26.92- $32.80
All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; thus, the starting pay for this position is $26.92 per hour.
