Visiting Associate Professor Position in Nanophotonics
Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is ranked 12th globally. It is also placed 1st among the world's best
young universities.
The Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) at NTU invites applications for positions at the rank of Visiting Associate Professor in Photonics. We are looking for candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in physics, photonics, optoelectronics or a closely related area.
The Visiting Associate Professor will collaborate with PAP colleagues to work in the area of quantum and topological photonic metamaterials and metasurfaces, time-crystal photonics, and nanoimaging. He/she will get involved in collaborative externally projects with PAP colleagues, as well as explore collaborations with colleagues from other Schools within NTU, with the aim of deepening institutional links between NTU and the candidate’s institution.
The candidate should have more than 10 years of experience in cutting edge
research in nanophotonics materials and devices, and deep knowledge in the
latest research directions in metamaterials and metasurfaces. He/she should also be an expert in nanofabrication and nano-optics characterization techniques.
He/she should have demonstrated an ability to obtain external grants, plus
regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Nature and Science family of
journals.
