Financial Accounting Associate

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accounting Associate

In this role, you will:

• Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions
• Review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements and regulatory reports
• Gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports
• Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
• Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company’s internal control policies
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant with strong exposure to Accounting standards (IFRS/IndAS)
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft suite and AI concepts/usage

Job Expectations:

• 1) Ensure timely review, reconciliation, and accounting of all Gratuity Trust bank account transactions, maintaining complete accuracy and adherence to established controls.

• 2) Support the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes for the Gratuity Trust, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

• 3) Coordinate monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation activities, ensuring timely completion, appropriate documentation, and resolution of outstanding reconciling items.

• 4) Support periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconciliation of results to accounting records and asset registers.

• 5) Provide support in execution and monitoring of STORM-related activities relating to India Finance team's vendors, ensuring compliance with applicable governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

• Work Shift 1:30 Pm to 10:30 Pm

• 3 days in office Mandatory
