Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Senior Finance Manager, Real Estate and several corporate teams in their development and management of critical financial models and executive-level presentations. This is a critical role for the company and an integral resource for the Real Estate Finance team This individual helps their leadership to forecast, budget, and interpret the business results and understand the ‘why’ behind the numbers.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Math, Data Science or Similar required
4+ years of financial Planning and Analysis experience required
Experience with AOP forecasting, long range planning and/or other FP&A cycles required
Advanced Excel and Financial Modeling skills required
Experience in project finance, modeling and communicating ROI metrics such as NPV, IRR, Cash on Cash highly preferred
Private equity, M&A and/or banking experience a plus
Retail and/or QSR experience preferred
Must be able to handle multiple, sometimes competing, priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP systems, Power BI and SQL preferred
Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex sets of data in a timely and efficient manner
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team environment
Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Coordinate between the Real Estate team on forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and other miscellaneous financial reporting:
Serve as a business partner between the Real Estate and Finance teams, coordinating financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure alignment across both functions
Analyze financial data and providing insights to support business decisions
Variance analysis and communication of financial results for Real Estate teams
Develop ROI models to provide insights and strategic recommendations for projects, new shops, or ADHOC analysis
Assist Senior Finance Manager, Real Estate with the management and oversight of New Shop Development (Valuations, Approvals, ADHOC Requests, M&A, Project Analysis, etc.)
Own AOP, Forecast, CapEx and Month End cycles for Real Estate
Develop and report on specific performance metrics, including the development of independent hypotheses and financial modeling:
Update and enhance financial modeling scenarios
Develop and report on specific key performance metrics, including both shorter- and longer-term financial targets
Provide macro-level industry trends and benchmarks, along with knowledgeable commentary on key comparable companies
Partner with Investor Relations, Treasury, Corporate Finance, and Operations to provide insights and guidelines regarding multiple Real Estate topics
Present recommended solutions for process improvements to achieve enhanced financial performance:

Support the continuous development and implementation of strategic and financial planning and analysis projects, best practice, and process improvements

Physical Requirements:
In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels
Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches. Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds

Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.
Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.
Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
