Overview

Position Purpose:

The Supply Chain Manager serves as a strategic procurement and contracting resource supporting complex capital projects and enterprise sourcing initiatives. This role leads supplier engagement, contract development, procurement planning, risk management, and sourcing strategy execution to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement of materials and services. The position partners closely with project management, engineering, legal, finance, and operations teams to optimize supply chain performance and support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end procurement and contracting activities for complex projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, commercial requirements, and project schedules.
• Develop and execute Project Procurement Plans that support project delivery, risk mitigation, cost control, and supplier performance objectives.
• Partner with commercial and legal teams to draft, review, negotiate, redline, and finalize contracts, amendments, master service agreements, purchase agreements, and subcontract agreements.
• Serve as the primary supply chain advisor for project teams, providing guidance on sourcing strategies, supplier selection, contract terms, and procurement best practices.
• Lead competitive sourcing events including Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Quotation (RFQ), while evaluating commercial, technical, and operational requirements.
• Conduct complex commercial evaluations, supplier benchmarking, total cost of ownership analyses, and contract negotiations to maximize value and reduce risk.
• Establish and manage supplier qualification and onboarding processes, including assessments of financial stability, safety performance, technical capabilities, cybersecurity risks, compliance requirements, and references.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain optimization.
• Support project teams in developing scopes of work, procurement schedules, bid packages, and contract exhibits.
• Collaborate with project controls, engineering, construction, finance, and legal teams to ensure contractual integrity and alignment with project objectives.
• Proactively identify procurement risks, supply constraints, market trends, and supplier challenges while developing mitigation strategies.
• Support supply chain reporting, spend analysis, forecasting, supplier diversity initiatives, and compliance requirements.
• Manage and direct the work of procurement and supply chain personnel while promoting procurement standards and best practices.
• Support enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives and strategic supplier relationship management programs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contracting, supply chain management, or project procurement and 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years supporting large-scale construction, industrial, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, service contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements.
• Proven experience developing and implementing procurement strategies for high-value capital projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract administration.
• Experience managing supplier performance through KPIs and continuous improvement processes.
• Advanced analytical, negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of contract risk allocation and commercial terms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under aggressive project schedules.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and procurement, ERP, and supply chain management systems.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience supporting energy infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, or industrial services organizations.
• Experience with strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier development initiatives.
• Working knowledge of project controls, scheduling, and cost management principles.

 

Travel Requirements:

• 20-35% travel required for this position

Pay Range

USD $134,430.00 - USD $179,425.00 /Yr.
