Congressional Country Club has a storied championship history, having hosted four Major Championships - with an exciting future ahead. In 2027, Congressional will once again take center stage as host of the KPMG Women's Championship, part of an incredible lineup of future championships that also includes the 2030 PGA Championship and 2037 Ryder Cup.

The Club features 36 holes of championship golf, with the Blue Course consistently recognized among the top courses in the country and both the Blue and Gold Courses ranked among the best in Maryland.

Led by PGA Director of Golf & Athletics Jason Epstein, the PGA's 2015 National Merchandiser of the Year for Private Clubs, Congressional is committed to developing the next generation of golf industry leaders. Our goal is to develop Golf Professionals who are prepared to advance into First Assistant, Head Professional, and other leadership roles at premier clubs throughout the industry.

You will work alongside and be mentored by Congressional's Golf Operations leadership team while gaining hands-on experience across the entire operation. From tournament operations and instruction to merchandising, team leadership, member service, and daily golf operations, you will develop the skills and business knowledge needed for your next step.

And in 2027, you'll have the unique opportunity to be part of the team as Congressional hosts the KPMG Women's Championship.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the professional and efficient management of daily golf operations

• Work alongside Golf Operations leadership to achieve departmental goals

• Deliver exceptional service and professional guidance to members and guests

• Help lead, train, and support outside service and Golf Shop team members

• Oversee the practice facilities and help create an exceptional member experience

• Provide golf instruction and assist with clinics and player-development programs

• Support tournament planning, preparation, and execution

• Assist with Golf Shop merchandising, purchasing, displays, inventory, and sales

• Support custom club fitting and club repair

• Manage tee times, reservations, guest check-in, and pace of play

• Assist with the Club's handicap program

• Promote golf events, programs, and Club activities

• Collaborate daily with Golf Course & Grounds to enhance the overall golf experience

• Maintain accurate billing and operational records

• Learn and use member and guest names to create a personalized experience

• Assist with oversight and maintenance of the golf car fleet

• Maintain applicable PGA membership and education requirements

• Pitch in wherever needed - because creating an exceptional experience is always a team effort

What We're Looking For

• PGA Associate/Apprentice preferred

• Passion for the golf industry and a desire to build a career in the profession

• Strong commitment to exceptional member and guest service

• Positive, team-first attitude

• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to learn, take on responsibility, and contribute across all areas of the operation
