Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Site in Boston
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3 PM -11PM AND Saturday 11 PM - 7 AM
Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training
Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Related Experience
As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations requiring attention. A concealed carry weapons permit is required for this armed post. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

- Provide customer service to the public, visitors, and personnel at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned transportation facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
