Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, primarily focused on manual testing with exposure to automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating application functionality, ensuring high-quality releases, and contributing to test strategy within Agile development environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and functional requirements and develop effective test scenarios and test cases.
Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
Execute and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution documentation.
Validate APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.
Conduct database testing and data validation using SQL.
Identify, log, track, and verify resolution of software defects.
Assess testing risks and provide quality recommendations throughout the software lifecycle.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Support and mentor junior QA team members.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
Hands-on experience in manual testing and test case design.
Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
Proficiency in SQL for database validation and testing.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Katalon Studio.
Basic understanding of test automation frameworks.
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools and modern QA practices.
