This full‑time position offers a salary of $120,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes major medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan, short‑ and long‑term disability, AD&D coverage, ASPCA pet insurance, a DoorDash discount, 20 days of paid time off per year, 12 paid holidays, and one floating holiday.
The Director, Business Analysis & Solutions Consulting is a hands-on leader who both performs and oversees business analysis and solution consulting work. This role partners directly with business leaders to identify opportunities, improve processes, define business capabilities, and translate organizational needs into practical technology and operational solutions.
In addition to leading Analysts and Solution Consultants, this position actively facilitates discovery discussions, conducts analysis, shapes requirements, evaluates solution options, and develops recommendations that support informed decision-making. The role serves as a strategic bridge between Information Services and Community Impact business units, strengthening partnerships through consultative engagement, process improvement, requirements management, and solution advisory services.
The Director ensures business needs are clearly understood, documented, prioritized, and aligned with organizational goals before technology or service investments are made. The role also establishes standards, methodologies, and best practices for business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution evaluation while developing a high-performing team that delivers measurable business value.
Team coaching & development will also be an integral part of this role.
Qualifications
Strong consultative skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders, understand organizational needs, and translate goals into actionable solutions.
Demonstrated ability to lead requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, prioritization, documentation, and traceability across complex initiatives.
Experience facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, stakeholder interviews, and decision-making discussions with diverse audiences.
Ability to analyze current-state business processes, identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and define practical future-state recommendations.
Working knowledge of solution design, software development lifecycle practices, business capability planning, and technology-enabled process improvement.
Ability to evaluate solution options, support business case development, and partner with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements.
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear documentation, process flows, recommendations, and executive-ready summaries.
Strong project coordination, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop analysts or consultants while fostering collaboration, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of people while demonstrating cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, and customer focus.
Understanding of data, reporting, database concepts, and information systems sufficient to support business analysis and solution discussions.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, business consulting, process improvement, project leadership, solution advisory, or related disciplines.
Three (3) or more years of supervisory, management, or team leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and workload prioritization.
Demonstrated experience leading requirements gathering, business process analysis, capability assessment, solution design, and documentation activities across complex initiatives.
Experience facilitating executive, cross-functional, and stakeholder discussions to clarify needs, evaluate options, resolve ambiguity, and support decision-making.
Experience partnering with technical teams, project managers, vendors, and business stakeholders to evaluate, implement, or improve technology-enabled business solutions.
Experience developing business cases, recommendations, process maps, requirements documentation, roadmaps, or other executive-ready deliverables preferred.
Working knowledge of business analysis methodologies, process improvement practices, solution lifecycle concepts, data/reporting concepts, and change management principles.
Experience working in a nonprofit, mission-driven, public sector, or community-serving organization preferred.
