Description
Do you thrive on building strong, long-term customer relationships while spotting opportunities to grow business along the way?
Nice to meet you! I'm Milja Valentine, a Senior Talent Partner at LeadDesk. Together with Simo Ikonen, our Sales Director for Finland, we're looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our Finnish Sales team in Helsinki.
You'll take commercial ownership of a portfolio of key customers in Finland, growing and protecting those relationships, while also helping us win new strategic accounts. In practice, this is a hybrid role combining strategic account management with enterprise new business sales.
What's in it for you
- Ownership of a portfolio of key customers in Finland, some of them among LeadDesk's largest
- Real visibility into how your work shapes LeadDesk's growth in Finland, across both retention and new business
- New business that's relationship led rather than a numbers game: no cold-calling lists, just the right enterprise opportunities
- Close collaboration with Solution Engineering, Professional Services, Product and Customer Support
- Experience a truly international work environment, collaborating with colleagues from 27 nationalities across 7 countries in a multicultural and diverse setting
- Flexible and hybrid. Enjoy work life balance with flexible hours and a hybrid model, with 3 days a week at our HQ Helsinki office in Kallio
- We take care of our people. Benefits include lunch, culture, sports and wellbeing benefits, and comprehensive occupational healthcare. Our welcoming office is always stocked with snacks
What you can expect as a Key Account Manager at LeadDesk
- Own a portfolio of strategically important Enterprise and Key Accounts in Finland, building strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Develop clear account plans, proactively driving the customer relationship and maintaining an accurate view of opportunities, risks and expected commercial development
- Own renewals and commercial negotiations, and protect recurring revenue by proactively identifying churn and downsell risks
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on your customers' business objectives and future needs
- Act as the commercial owner of the customer relationship during escalations, ensuring the right internal resources are involved
- Identify and develop selected new Enterprise opportunities in the Finnish market, creating and developing your own sales pipeline from first discussion to commercial agreement
- Work closely with Solution Engineering and other internal experts during sales processes, including strategic tenders and larger competitive situations
What success looks like in the first 6 months and beyond
- You've built trusted relationships with the key stakeholders across your portfolio and have clear account plans in place
- You know what's happening within your accounts, ideally before it becomes an urgent issue
- You've started identifying and developing new Enterprise opportunities in the Finnish market
- Colleagues in Solution Engineering, Customer Support and Product see you as a reliable, collaborative partner
- Beyond the first 6 months: healthy net revenue retention, successful renewals, upsell and expansion revenue, and a growing number of new enterprise logos
This is where the match happens
Must-haves
- A few years of experience in Key Account Management, Enterprise Sales, Customer Success or another commercially focused B2B role
- Proven experience in both developing existing customers and winning new business
- A strong commercial mindset and the ability to identify business opportunities
- Experience negotiating contracts, renewals and commercial agreements, and running complex B2B sales processes
- The ability to build trusted relationships from operational stakeholders to senior management
- A proactive and structured way of working, with a strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Finnish and English
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with SaaS, technology or other recurring-revenue business models, for example in IT consulting or system integration sales
- Experience from Contact Centre, Customer Service, CX, telecommunications or adjacent technology environments is considered a strong advantage
- Enough technical understanding to have credible conversations before bringing in Solution Engineering
We value people who take ownership, communicate openly, use data to support decisions, challenge constructively, and work as a team instead of building individual silos. We warmly encourage you to apply even if you don't tick every single box.
Practicalities
- Location: Helsinki HQ (Kallio), hybrid model with 3 days a week at the office
- Employment: Full-time, permanent
- Compensation: Base salary of €4,000–4,500/month, around 70% of your on-target earnings (OTE). The remaining 30% is commission-based, tied to net revenue retention and new business, bringing total OTE to approximately €5,700–6,400/month (around €68,000–77,000 a year), with accelerators on top when you exceed target
