Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Assistance in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, including production areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unauthorized activity or policy concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel and documenting activities accurately.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, property damage, and other security-related concerns through a professional presence and consistent patrol activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
