Job Description

As a Security Officer Camera Monitoring in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Security Officer in a commercial real estate setting, you will monitor and patrol office and retail areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and vendors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and assist with security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-driven, and integrity-focused values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office and retail property.
• Monitor access points, common areas, and building activity; verify visitor and vendor access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report activities according to site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office, retail, common, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Maintain professional communication with property management, tenants, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
