Job Description

As a Security Officer Concierge Desk in Latham, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a professional financial institution location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, support security-related procedures, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this highly visible role, you will help to deter incidents through professionalism and presence while reflecting a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating with site contacts regarding authorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Support front desk operations by answering questions, directing guests, handling incoming calls, and helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and consistent application of security-related policies.
• Complete routine reports and records related to visitor activity, incidents, and daily operations while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in a client-facing environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
