Automatic Handling International, Inc. has been supplying the Global Fortune 500 Consumer Products Manufacturing Industry as a worldwide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of custom and patented handling and packaging systems since 1972.
Position Overview:
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical components and subassemblies for custom-designed equipment. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assemble and fit mechanical parts, subassemblies, and complete systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
· Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
· Inspect parts and assemblies for proper fit and quality standards.
· Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
· Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
· Support testing, installation, and commissioning of equipment as needed.
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or vocational school preferred.
· 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, or welding is a plus.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a shop environment.
