Infrastructure Engineer, Collaboration & Identity
Location: London, Docklands (Hybrid – minimum 4 office days per fortnight)
Salary: £53,833 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours)

About the role
We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Collaboration & Identity team, responsible for the Microsoft technologies that keep our organisation connected, secure and productive.
You'll support and improve our Microsoft collaboration platforms whilst helping deliver new capabilities, automation and continuous improvements. You'll work across technologies including Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, Entra ID and Teams, collaborating with colleagues across Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Architecture to deliver reliable and secure services.
You’ll be joining a collaborative engineering team responsible for some of the organisation's most critical technology platforms.

What you'll be doing:
Supporting and improving Microsoft collaboration and identity platforms.
Delivering upgrades, new features and continuous improvements.
Troubleshooting complex technical issues and acting as an escalation point.
Automating administration using PowerShell and scripting.
Maintaining secure identity and email services using modern best practices.
Producing technical documentation and contributing to solution design.
Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues across the team.
What we’re looking for (Minimum Criteria):
Demonstrable hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration services in an enterprise environment, including Exchange Online/Hybrid, Entra ID and Microsoft Teams
Experience with digital identity technologies including Entra ID, Active Directory, Conditional Access and modern access controls such as least privilege, PIM and JIT access
Proven experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and delivering improvements, upgrades and new capabilities across collaboration and identity platforms
Experience using PowerShell or other scripting and automation technologies within enterprise environments
You'll have demonstrable technical experience with the following:
Microsoft 365 administration
Microsoft Entra ID
Digital identity and data lifecycles
Exchange Online and Exchange Hybrid
Active Directory
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Purview and Security tooling
Email routing and authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
PowerShell scripting and automation
Identity and access management concepts such as Zero Trust and least privilege
It would also be nice for you to have:
Experience with telephony systems.
A natural flair for solving problems, continually improving services and working collaboratively within an enterprise IT environment.
