Join us as we continue to do exciting work and make a big impact on our colleagues, customers and communities.The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and operational leader, partnering with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals. The HRBP supports workforce effectiveness, employee engagement, talent management, and organizational performance by providing proactive HR guidance and delivering people-focused solutions. The role combines strategic partnership responsibilities with day-to-day leadership and oversight of HR operations through management of an HR Generalist.
HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR guidance and operational support on workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
- Build strong, consultative relationships with leaders to understand organizational needs and deliver effective workforce and talent solutions.
- Support talent management initiatives including recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, employee development, and retention strategies.
- Manage and develop one HR Generalist by providing coaching, assigning priorities, overseeing HR operations, and supporting professional growth.
- Drive HR programs and continuous improvement through analysis of HR trends, process enhancements, and implementation of people-focused initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Lead employee relations activities by managing workplace issues, conducting investigations, ensuring policy compliance, and promoting positive employee experiences.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 3-5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner.
- Comprehensive understanding of current Canadian HR legislation and employment standards.
- Strong business acumen and the ability and willingness to understand our business.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
- Experience supervising or mentoring HR team members is an asset.
- CHRP or CHRL designation in good standing.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- A keen sense of priorities, along with an ability to pivot as the landscape changes.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
- A team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Technical competence with Workday (or other HRIS systems), AI programs, Microsoft applications.
Total Direct Compensation:
124,500 - 152,300Any pay range is in $CAD. The stated pay range reflects the total expected compensation for this role (e.g., base pay plus any expected incentives or allowances, where applicable)
