Description
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and leading warehouse associates to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished goods. The role is primarily operational and hands-on, focusing on daily execution, employee support, inventory accuracy, shipping, receiving, and maintaining workflow throughout the warehouse. This position spends much of the time on the warehouse floor coordinating activities, resolving issues, and supporting team members to meet daily operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Assign daily work and monitor employee performance throughout the shift.
- Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Support production by ensuring material availability and timely replenishment.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers and internal departments.
- Perform and verify inventory transactions within SAP, WMS, or ERP systems.
- Assist with inventory accuracy initiatives in conjunction with Inventory Coordinator
- Train and mentor warehouse personnel on standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Enforce warehouse safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoot daily operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Assist with loading, unloading, material handling, and warehouse organization during peak periods.
- Maintain shipping and receiving documentation.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse.
- Maintain, develop, and adhere to established department and company standards, procedures, and policies
- Maintain a neat, clean, and safe working environment

Requirements
This role is pivotal in coordinating the movement of material and supervising the performance of internal personnel and relationships with third-party vendors while meeting the needs of the company, our dealers, and our customers.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role (supervisor or team lead).
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration preferred. In lieu of associate or bachelor’s degree, a minimum of a high school diploma with 4-6 years warehouse experience in a leadership role required.
- Leadership Skills:
- Team Leadership: Ability to assign daily work, monitor performance, and mentor a diverse warehouse team.
- Time Management: Proven track record of meeting shipping deadlines and managing workloads.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve daily operational and logistics delays.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to coordinate across internal departments and external carriers.
- Ability to operate a forklift, various material handling devices, and Modula Lift machine is essential; training can be provided on an as-needed basis
- Thorough knowledge of software such as (but not limited to) SAP, MPS, and WMS is essential; training can be provided on an as-needed basis
- Understanding of International Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS & Sched B Classifications) and understanding of international shipping and documentation requirements (to all countries) is essential
- Understanding of the manufacturing industry is essential
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in current versions of MS Office, is required; must be proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and must be able to navigate custom databases and on-line document management software
