Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Growth & Strategy: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Electronics value chain and semiconductor segment, formulating and executing strategies to expand market share. This includes mapping emerging growth areas and converting them into tangible revenue streams.
  • Value Chain Engagement: Deep engagement with the whole Electronics and semiconductor value chain in the region, including design engineers, specifiers, technical influencers and other value chain participants & partners among semiconductor companies. Create demand pull, influence and secure the inclusion of our chemical materials (TIMs, encapsulants, etc.) in customer product specifications and new project design drawing. Act as a trusted advisor to key OEMs and OSATs, demonstrating how our solutions meet technical requirements and add value to their products.
  • Key Account & Partner Management: Develop strategic partnerships with major design houses, fabless, fabs, OSATs, equipment suppliers to win spec-in approvals for our products. Position Dow as “top of mind”/ preferred specialty material partner by Key Accounts. Manage and develop relationships with existing key accounts, focusing on increasing our “share of wallet” by introducing new applications for our materials. Leverage distributor networks and channel partners to accelerate entry into emerging markets and ensure broad coverage of the value chain.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product development, sales, and technical service teams to align our product offerings with market needs and customer specifications. Provide market feedback to guide innovation and tailor solutions for target segments, ensuring our product roadmaps and technical support align with customer requirements and industry trends.
  • Cross-Regional Collaboration: Work closely with other regional teams in North America, APAC (China, Japan, Korea), Europe etc., to synchronize on market/ customer opportunity progresses and bring business to transaction phase to other regions.
  • Market Intelligence & Advocacy: Monitor market trends, peer activities and emerging technologies in relevant sectors. Translate these insights into actionable market development plans. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical seminars, presenting our value proposition and building our reputation as a market leader in electronic materials. Develop thought leadership and contribute to industry standards or associations to strengthen the company’s influence and network.
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting: Contribute to the formulation of global and regional go-to-market plans for the semiconductor business. Set and meet growth targets (revenue, volume, margin) for the targeted applications, and maintain a clear pipeline of market development projects. Regularly report on market development progress, forecast sales from new opportunities, and adjust strategies based on performance metrics and feedback.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree in business/marketing is preferred. A strong technical background in electronic materials or chemical engineering is highly desirable.
  • Industry & Functional Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in specialty chemicals, advanced materials, or electronic components industry, with a focus on semiconductor markets. This should include substantial experience (5+ years or more) in market development, business development, or strategic marketing roles driving growth initiatives. Prior experience engaging with the semiconductor value chain is required.
  • Global Market Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of global value chains and international business environments. Experience managing or collaborating across multiple regions or with global customers is essential. The candidate should be comfortable navigating diverse cultural and business landscapes to drive market penetration.
  • Proven Track Record: Strong history of identifying and winning new business in high-tech or industrial markets. Track record of achieving or exceeding growth targets and successfully introducing new products to market or opening new customer accounts. Experience securing design wins/spec-in positions for technical products is a significant plus.
  • Skills: Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills to assess market trends and develop go-to-market plans. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities for influencing stakeholders at all levels – from engineers to C-suite – and for building long-term partnerships. Strong negotiation and presentation skills to effectively advocate for our solutions. Self-motivated and results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrix organization.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into customer benefits. Familiarity with the technical aspects of semiconductor manufacturing (fabrication, chip packaging etc.) and how specialty chemical products (adhesives, coatings, fluids) are used in these processes.
  • Other Requirements: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20% of time) to visit customers, attend industry events, and collaborate with global teams.
