Description
Bring your energy to Aggreko as an experienced Lead for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Projects for a greenfield industrial manufacturing plant and office set up in India. The project in-charge shall manage the utility infrastructure, power distribution, plant lighting, substation integration, HVAC, and process piping from ground-breaking to commercial handover. The role requires native compliance with Indian codes (BIS, NBC, CCOE/PESO) and tight synchronization with factory layout and production machinery and office set up timelines.

What you’ll do:
Design & Engineering Coordination: Review and validate consultant-issued MEP and utility layouts for plant constructability, oversee 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination and clash detection, and ensure design provisions match industrial manufacturing load requirements.
Procurement & Estimation Support: Assist in drafting technical specifications for long-lead items, review contractor and vendor quotations against the project Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and evaluate local Indian vendor capabilities for material compliance and cost efficiency.
Site Execution & Supervision: Supervise the installation of HT/LT panels, transformers, bus ducts, cable trays, plant earthing systems, HVAC, ventilation, dust collection systems, cleanroom conditioning, plumbing, piping, effluent treatment plant (ETP) lines, and fire protection ring mains, while tracking daily subcontractor output and installation metrics.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance in India: Secure clearances and coordinate inspections with state electricity boards (DISCOMs), Chief Electrical Inspectorate (CEIG), and local municipal bodies, ensuring strict adherence to National Building Code (NBC), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and Factory Inspectorate norms, and maintaining fire safety standards.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover: Witness and log pre-commissioning checks, pressure tests, megger tests, and alignment verifications, coordinate integrated factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) with operations teams, and compile and hand over complete As-Built drawings, vendor operation manuals (O&M), and statutory test certificates.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Interface with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, Project Management Consultants (PMCs), and contractors; manage relationships with government authorities for approvals, clearances, and inspections; coordinate with equipment vendors for installation requirements and technical specifications; and ensure contractor compliance with safety standards, labor laws, and environmental regulations.
You are:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
8 to 12 years of total hands-on project execution experience, with at least 1–2 completed industrial or manufacturing greenfield projects in India.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks (BIM), and MS Project or Primavera. Deep expertise in MEP, and HVAC design and construction
Thorough knowledge of Indian electrical and mechanical codes, safety rules, and labor laws.Strong communication skills to bridge gaps between civil contractors, factory operations, and remote corporate management.
Ability to handle high-pressure site environments and solve spatial/technical conflicts rapidly. Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, and contract management.
Knowledge of industrial layout planning, machine installation, and equipment commissioning. Strong understanding of building codes, fire safety, structural standards, and statutory compliance.
