Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and deliver outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site requirements.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly professional environment by communicating respectfully with personnel and visitors and reporting security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a Virginia DCJS license.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
