Key Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries in a professional, caring, and sensitive manner.
- Schedule patient appointments and maximise available booking opportunities across our clinics.
- Provide patients with preparation instructions, cost estimates, and information regarding concession card requirements.
- Process and action patient referrals accurately and efficiently.
- Manage appointments using our state-of-the-art RIS system (Visage) to optimise clinic efficiency.
- Quote relevant fees and Medicare rebate information to patients.
- Ensure patients are fully informed of any preparation requirements before their appointment.
- Collaborate closely with Receptionists, Booking Centre Agents, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers, and Nuclear Medicine Technologists to support a seamless patient journey.
- Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to privacy and confidentiality requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in customer service, medical administration, healthcare bookings, or a contact centre environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confidence using computer systems and learning new technology.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
