Location - New York, NY (On-site) - Five days per week in-office in Brooklyn or the Lower East Side.

The platform is developing a contract operating system that uses AI and intelligent agents to turn contracts from static documents into actionable business infrastructure.

The team is highly technical and operates with significant startup-style autonomy. Engineers work closely with founders, product managers, and designers to architect, build, and own user-facing applications.

As one of the early engineers on the team, you'll have significant influence over technical direction, product development, engineering practices, and the long-term architecture of the AI platform.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy production AI-powered applications for enterprise contract intelligence
• Build intelligent AI agent systems that automate complex enterprise and legal workflows
• Architect and develop full-stack applications across backend and frontend systems
• Build production AI products using Python, SQL, databases, and modern agent frameworks
• Develop and integrate agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, and AutoGen
• Design reliable backend services and APIs supporting AI-powered applications
• Build user-facing interfaces for intelligent contract workflows
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and company leadership
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Drive technical architecture and engineering decisions across AI and product systems
• Initiate, influence, and lead high-impact technical projects
• Promote strong software engineering, testing, deployment, and code quality practices
• Design and implement metrics and measurements to evaluate product and engineering success
• Contribute to technical strategy and long-term engineering roadmaps
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and production infrastructure
• Use modern AI coding tools such as Cursor and Codex as part of daily development workflows
• Work directly with founders and leadership to shape product and technical direction

Experience Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering or AI product development experience
• 4+ years of experience building AI products in professional environments
• Strong experience building production AI-powered applications
• Experience working with AI agents or agentic workflows
• Strong full-stack engineering experience
• Experience building both backend and frontend systems
• Experience working in startups or highly autonomous engineering environments preferred
• Experience owning complex technical projects end-to-end
• Experience working closely with product and design teams
• Strong experience operating in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
• Experience influencing technical strategy and architecture
• Strong ownership mentality with demonstrated execution ability
• Experience building user-facing AI products
