An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a growing specialist care provider as they prepare to launch a brand-new 6-bed Learning Disabilities service in Chester.
The service will support individuals with complex Learning Disabilities, providing high-quality, person-centred care within a supportive residential environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in building and developing a new service from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operation of the service
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of care and support staff
- Ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centred support
- Support the delivery of care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Promote positive outcomes for individuals with complex Learning Disabilities
- Monitor staff performance, conduct supervisions, and support professional development
- Ensure the service operates in line with CQC standards and organisational policies
- Support the mobilisation and successful launch of the new 6-bed service
- Act as a strong role model for the wider care team
Requirements
- Previous experience working with individuals with complex Learning Disabilities
- Experience supervising or managing care/support staff
- Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
- Confident leadership and communication skills
- Ability to support a team in a busy and evolving environment
- Experience as a Deputy Manager is desirable
- Senior Support Workers ready to take their next career step are encouraged to apply
