The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical and electrical background, with general understanding of hydraulic and mechanic system, to oversee the maintenance and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment.

Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and improving presses and other manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and extensive experience working with industrial or manufacturing machinery. Candidates with hands-on machining, welding, fabrication, and equipment troubleshooting experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Schedule
• Full-time, 2nd shift
• Occasional response to equipment emergencies may be required based on operational needs.
About the Role:
As our Maintenance Mechanic, you will:
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair presses and other manufacturing equipment.
• Work with supervisors and production crews to identify and resolve equipment performance issues.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the appropriate repair solution.
• Rebuild machines, equipment, and components as needed.
• Research and implement equipment modifications and improvements to increase reliability and reduce equipment failures.
• Communicate with equipment manufacturers and vendors regarding equipment failures, replacement parts, and recommended repairs or improvements.
• Determine whether repairs should be completed in-house or outsourced.
• Maintain an inventory of mechanical parts and identify suppliers based on availability, quality, and cost.
• Design, machine, weld, and fabricate parts and components for manufacturing equipment.
• Perform various types of welding.
• Operate a lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press, and other machine shop equipment.
• Assist with general facility maintenance as needed, including carpentry and other maintenance-related tasks.
• Respond to equipment issues and emergencies during assigned shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
About You:
You're a fit for the Maintenance Mechanic position if you have:
• 5+ years of mechanical experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on experience repairing and rebuilding industrial or manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with machining, welding, and fabrication.
• Ability to operate a lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, and drill press.
• Ability to perform various types of welding.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Required certifications for electrical work.
• Previous supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, manuals, and related documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with production employees, supervisors, vendors, and equipment manufacturers.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, area, circumference, and volume.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, gather information, establish facts, and determine appropriate solutions.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance and repair needs.
