Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Technical Director. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge, proven leadership skills, and a strong background in business development and winning work. This role requires a dynamic individual with at least 20 years of post-graduate experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
The project is to take the RIBA 4 / IFT / IFC design of multiple assets through a validation process and manage the coordination process of Contractor shop drawings through SSC / and LDC approvals in readiness for construction.
The designs will be available at RIBA 4 as either LOD300 or 350, with the contractor responsible for developing the models and design to LOD500.

Business Development
Develop skills in the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities to expand the portfolio.
With the team, share leadership in the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Project Design Management
Oversee the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Commercial awareness with an understanding and ability to administer Change Control.
Ensure client satisfaction and project profitability.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers.
Promote professional development and continuous learning within the team.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
About you
Bachelor’s degree in a Building Services; Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
A Master's degree and/or Chartered Status is preferred.
Minimum of 20 years of post-graduate experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
A growing track record in business development and winning work.
A demonstrable understanding of all and related building services design processes.
Strong technical knowledge of systems and industry standards.
Recognition and understanding of related engineering and architectural disciplines with a demonstrable skill in multidisciplinary coordination.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and inspire a diverse multidisciplinary team.
The ability to think laterally and possess a sound understanding of engineering principles with the ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
The ability to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally.
Experience in luxury residential and hospitality
Experience in island development is preferred
