Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

Maxis’ Professional Training and Education for Growing Entrepreneurs (PROTÉGÉ) programme gives young Malaysian talent the opportunity to build practical skills through classroom and on-the-job training. Over 12 months, you will gain hands-on experience while contributing to the teams that serve our customers.

As a Consumer Care Protégé Trainee – Backend, you will support customer order processing, maintain accurate records and coordinate with internal teams to ensure orders are fulfilled. Your work will help resolve operational issues and deliver a smooth customer experience.

What are you accountable for:

• Order fulfilment: Process sales submissions and coordinate orders, inventory, shipping and tracking for Fibre, MP, HP and WBB products using CRM, Retailer Portal and DBSS.
• Records and reporting: Maintain accurate customer and sales data, update trackers and monitor the status of orders.
• Issue resolution: Identify discrepancies, delays and fulfilment issues, and work with the relevant teams to resolve them promptly.
• Team coordination: Follow up with internal departments and external partners to keep orders moving through each stage of fulfilment.
• Process improvement: Identify ways to reduce manual work, document updated procedures and help team members adopt them.

What do you need to have for the role:

• Malaysian citizenship.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Commerce, Marketing or a relevant discipline from a local or foreign higher learning institution recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
• A CGPA of 3.0 or above, or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage data entry and documentation accurately.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with CRM systems, Retailer Portal or DBSS is an advantage.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays, if required.
• An interest in customer operations, order fulfilment and improving how work gets done.

Preference will be given to fresh graduates with no prior working experience who are currently unemployed. Previous exposure to backend fulfilment or Maxis products and services is an advantage.

Duration of Programme: 12 months starting in November
