Human Resources Coordinator

Position Scope

Due to continued business growth and organizational expansion, we are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the delivery of HR programs and services across the organization. Reporting to the Human Resources Generalist, this role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, HR compliance, training, and employee engagement.

Job Duties

• Provide support across the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, employee communications, training, and HR compliance.
• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including posting job advertisements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment offers and onboarding documentation.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide timely support, guidance, or escalation as appropriate.
• Assist employees with work permit, visa, and immigration-related processes, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support payroll processing and benefits administration by maintaining accurate employee records and updating HRIS databases.
• Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics, including headcount reports, employee movement reports, organizational charts, and workforce data analysis.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Support employee relations matters and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, training programs, recognition activities, and company events.
• Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
• Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as required.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or coordinator capacity.
• Solid understanding of BC Employment Standards and HR best practices.
• Experience supporting multiple HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR systems, including ADP, UKG, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are considered an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
