At The Vet Office, we are recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a well-established, progressive small animal veterinary practice in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

The Opportunity

You'll enjoy a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, with opportunities to develop your nursing skills and make a real difference to animal welfare.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to small animal patients.
• Supporting veterinary surgeons during consultations, procedures and surgery.
• Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting with patient recovery.
• Delivering excellent inpatient care and patient monitoring.
• Supporting preventive healthcare and client education.
• Working closely with a collaborative veterinary team.
• Taking an active role in continuous professional development.

Working Hours

• Full-time: 4 days per week, approximately 9 hours per day.
• Part-time applications welcome.
• Weekend rota: approximately 1 in 4 weekends.
• Rotational night duties.

• Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).
• Eligible for registration with the RCVS in the UK.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.
• Confident communicator with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Comfortable working within a busy small animal environment.
