Job Summary
Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Key Account Manager based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The role is responsible for aligning customer strategic requirements with Sandvik value propositions, growing market share and share of wallet, strengthening customer loyalty, and coordinating a consistent account approach across internal stakeholders.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and manage relationships with assigned strategic customers to strengthen customer loyalty, increase market share and share of wallet, and support sustainable account growth.
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive Account Business Plans that translate customer strategy, operational priorities, and business challenges into clear objectives, actions, opportunities, and value-creation initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders at operational, commercial, technical, and senior-management levels, while maintaining effective internal stakeholder networks.
- Coordinate account activities across Rock Tools, Parts & Services, Surface Drills, Underground Drills, Load and Haul, Ground Support, Finance, and other relevant functions to present an aligned Sandvik approach.
- Communicate Sandvik’s value proposition clearly and apply value-based selling principles to connect products, services, technology, and lifecycle solutions with customer outcomes.
- Identify, qualify, and progress new revenue opportunities within assigned accounts in cooperation with relevant Business Line Managers and sales teams.
- Monitor account performance against agreed business plans, customer commitments, opportunities, and commercial objectives, and initiate corrective or improvement actions when required.
- Maintain accurate account, stakeholder, opportunity, activity, and forecast information in the approved CRM and reporting tools.
- Facilitate clear information flow between customers and internal stakeholders, including escalation and coordinated resolution of complex customer issues.
- Apply sound commercial judgment and comply with applicable approval, contract, pricing, legal, and governance requirements before commitments are made to customers.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with Sandvik’s EHS Vision and Zero Harm principles, applicable SHEQ requirements, and customer site safety expectations.
- Share account-management practices and provide functional guidance to colleagues where relevant, without direct people-management responsibility

- Demonstrate exemplary EHS behavior and ensure the organization complies with Sandvik global EHS Policy, ISO 14001/45001, and SMKP requirements.

PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY
- Jakarta-based role with regular customer and internal stakeholder engagement.
- Frequent travel to customer sites and other locations within Indonesia, with international travel when business needs require.
- Work in accordance with customer site requirements, Sandvik EHS standards, and applicable safety procedures.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development, preferably within mining, manufacturing, engineering, or another heavy industry.
- Proven experience managing strategic customer accounts and developing account or sales strategies.
- Experience in market analysis, value-based selling, customer relationship management, opportunity development, and cross-functional coordination.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and digital tools used for account planning, opportunity management, forecasting, and reporting.
- English proficiency appropriate for business communication with local, regional, and global stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel between customer sites within Indonesia and internationally when required
- Intermediate English proficiency, both written and spoken.
