Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Immunization Area Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment by responding to security-related concerns, assisting staff and visitors, and following site procedures. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established hospital protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate locations while supporting site access procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
