Security Guard - Day Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Security Guard - Day Shift to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA!

This position follows a modified 7-on, 7-off schedule working primarily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a 6-hour shift on Thursdays.

The schedule consists of 6 hours on Thursday, 12-hour shifts Friday through Wednesday, 6 hours on Thursday, followed by seven days off.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.15 per hour.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

## What you’ll do:

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the Fibrebond campus by monitoring facilities, property, and personnel. This role provides professional security services, controls facility access, patrols company grounds, responds to incidents and emergencies, monitors security systems, and maintains detailed records and reports. The Security Guard helps protect company assets while ensuring a safe environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and customers.

Fibrebond, an Eaton company, designs and manufactures pre integrated modular buildings and power enclosures that protect mission critical equipment for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers. Headquartered in Minden, Louisiana, Fibrebond is known for its engineered to order solutions that support complex infrastructure projects across North America. In 2025, Fibrebond was acquired by Eaton, expanding Eaton’s modular solutions portfolio while preserving Fibrebond’s strong engineering expertise, customer focus, and manufacturing operations in Louisiana.

In this role, you will:

• Provide professional, courteous, and customer-focused security services to employees, visitors, contractors, and customers entering the facility.
• Monitor facility access points and verify authorization for entry and exit.
• Conduct routine and random security patrols of buildings, parking lots, and company grounds on foot and by vehicle.
• Patrol all campus buildings, checking doors, windows, gates, and other access points to ensure facility security.
• Monitor and operate security equipment including surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other security technologies.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and security concerns using sound judgment and appropriate problem-solving techniques.
• Monitor systems for fire, flood, weather-related impacts, and other facility hazards or damage.
• Complete incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the guardhouse and security work areas.
• Communicate security concerns and incident details to management and emergency responders as required.
• Assist with emergency response activities and support site emergency preparedness efforts.
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and security protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

## Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in security, physical access control, law enforcement, military service, first responder or a related field.
• Experience with computer systems and organizational experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Minden, LA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security functions or physical access control.

## Skills & Physical Requirements:

• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills, use good judgement, and be professional.
• Must be physically fit, mentally alert, and emotionally stable to respond in the event of an emergency.
• Must be able to sit for long-periods of time, walk or stand, and work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work extended shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to drive a vehicle if needed.
• Must be able to climb stairs or ladder if needed with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to patrol in the dark if required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use a computer without difficulty, and effectively monitor computer-based camera, access control, and alarm systems, with previous knowledge of said systems a plus.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shift (day or night) on a 7-day rotation and maintain alertness.
