## What you’ll do:
This position will lead Indonesia finance team, and support sales operation for both Jakarta and Batam sales office. It is a critical business partner supporting country manager to achieve the sales and financial objectives. This position will report to East Asia controller and dot line report to Indonesia country manager.
The role is responsible for managing all finance and accounting activities, ensuring compliance with local tax, statutory, and corporate requirements, and maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. In addition, the Finance Manager serves as a strategic partner to the commercial and operations teams by supporting project bidding, contract review and negotiation of finance-related terms, credit management, project margin tracking, working capital optimization, forecasting, and business decision-making. The role also drives process improvements, strengthens internal controls, supports corporate initiatives, and builds organizational capabilities across Finance and Sales Operations to support sustainable business growth and operational excellence.
A. Manage and support finance and accounting activities for the business, working closely with GFSS to lead monthly closing and review activities, coordinate forecasting and budgeting processes, perform monthly financial reconciliations, reporting and analysis, and manage cash flow and working capital to support business growth and operational efficiency.
B. Manage and ensure compliance with all local tax requirements, including VAT, WHT, CIT, tax filings, tax audits, and statutory reporting obligations.
C. Act as a strategic business partner to the commercial team by supporting project bidding activities, reviewing customer credit limits, evaluating financial, commercial, and contractual risks, participating in project contract review(including BG) and negotiation of finance-related terms, supporting pricing decisions, monitoring project margin performance throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring appropriate commercial and risk management processes are in place to support sound business decisions and profitable growth.
D. Review and analyze financial data and information to ensure accuracy, consistency, transparency, and integrity of financial reporting for the organization.
E. Interpret, implement, and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensuring financial reporting complies with GAAP, local statutory requirements, and internal control standards. Support internal and external audits and drive timely resolution of audit findings. Monthly BSR review for local ledgers.
F. Understand business needs and challenges and provide financial guidance and support to Commercial, SCM, and CSR on operating strategies, profitability improvement, working capital optimization, capex management, cost control, risk management, process improvements, and key business decisions.
G. Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and business insights to the leadership team, including monthly business reviews and management updates. Monitor performance against plans, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial and operational targets.
H. Support financial planning, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives to drive profitable growth and improve overall business performance.
I. Build people, process, and system capabilities to drive continuous improvement, process standardization, automation, digital transformation, and enhanced internal controls across Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service functions.
J. Support ad hoc finance and business projects, including system upgrades, ERP implementations, legal entity initiatives, business transformation projects, and other corporate initiatives.
## Qualifications:
- CPA qualified.
- Minimum 10 years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 5 years at Finance Manager level or above.
- Experience in a similar industry (manufacturing, industrial, distribution, import/export, or product-based environment) is highly advantageous. International or regional finance experience is preferred.
- Proven track record in financial management, accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and compliance.
- Strong accounting foundation with broad technical accounting knowledge, including a good understanding of US GAAP.
- Familiar with Indonesia statutory reporting requirements, including accounting, tax compliance, and regulatory filings.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support customer credit reviews, contract evaluations, and payment term negotiations.
- Experience with SAP ERP is preferred.
- Highly computer literate with strong proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
