About the Team
The Commercial Strategic Account Management for the Issuer Solutions team is responsible for developing and strengthening strategic client relationships while driving revenue growth, retention, and client satisfaction. Team members serve as trusted advisors to clients by leveraging deep commercial payments industry expertise, understanding client strategies, and aligning FIS solutions to help achieve business objectives.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Commercial Strategic Account Manager for our issuing commercial card business, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial payments bank clients. You will build strategic partnerships, identify growth opportunities, drive revenue expansion, and ensure clients maximize the value of their FIS solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with assigned clients.
- Gain a deep understanding of client business strategies, goals, challenges, and market position.
- Create and execute tailored account growth plans that identify expansion opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Manage Engage in contract renewals and retention activities while partnering with internal stakeholders to achieve favorable commercial outcomes.
- Identify white space opportunities and position FIS solutions to improve client performance and business results.
- Guide sales opportunities through the Salesforce pipeline and support successful deal closure.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Client Experience, Legal, and Contract Management teams to deliver client solutions.
- Serve as the voice of the customer by communicating market feedback, support needs, and product enhancement opportunities.
- Lead strategic client engagements, including Quarterly Strategic Business Reviews and executive business meetings.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing industry insights, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations.
- Influence and align internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Drive client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership success.
What You Bring
- Strong knowledge of commercial card and payments, financial services, fintech, or related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking with strong business, financial, and revenue acumen.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to influence decision-making and negotiate successful business outcomes.
- Strong organizational, planning, and account management skills.
- Ability to research, analyze, and communicate complex information effectively.
- Experience collaborating across multiple teams and managing competing priorities.
- Consultative approach with strong problem-solving and relationship-building capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Client Experience, Consulting, or related client-facing roles.
- Experience within commercial card and payments, fintech, technology, or a related industry.
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing strategic enterprise accounts.
- Knowledge of commercial payments products, payment ecosystems, and industry trends.
- Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.
