Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Global Late-Stage Partnering will be a member of the Global Late-Stage Partnering team and report directly to the Vice President, Head of Late-Stage Partnering.

The Senior Manager will lead and maintain Ipsen’s Late-Stage Opportunity Intelligence process across Oncology, Rare Diseases, and Neuroscience, developing a comprehensive view of the external partnering landscape and identifying and prioritizing potential business development opportunities. The role will coordinate insights from cross-functional stakeholders across R&D, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Finance, and Legal to assess the strategic fit and attractiveness of external programs and companies.

The individual will translate complex scientific, clinical, commercial, and competitive information into actionable insights, strategic analyses, and executive-level recommendations to support portfolio planning and partnering decisions. The role will also contribute to selected late-stage business development transactions, providing exposure to opportunity evaluation and transaction execution while maintaining a primary focus on opportunity intelligence, landscape management, and strategic business development support.

WHAT - Main Responsbilities

External Opportunity Landscape Management

  • Own and maintain a comprehensive, continuously updated landscape of late-stage partnering opportunities across Oncology, Rare Diseases, and Neuroscience.
  • Develop and manage a systematic process for identifying, tracking, evaluating, and prioritizing external assets and companies of strategic interest.
  • Monitor the external environment to identify emerging opportunities, competitive developments, strategic transactions, and shifts in market dynamics that may impact Ipsen's business development priorities.
  • Establish and maintain tools, databases, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into the external opportunity universe.
  • Serve as the internal owner of the external opportunity universe and ensure opportunity assessments remain current, organized, and actionable.

Monitoring Program Value Inflection Points

  • Track, analyze, and maintain a forward-looking view of key clinical, regulatory, commercial, corporate, and financing milestones for programs and companies of strategic interest.
  • Proactively communicate important developments and their potential implications to the Global Late-Stage Partnering team and relevant internal stakeholders.

Internal Stakeholder Engagement and Insight Generation

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with leaders and subject matter experts across the Oncology, Rare Diseases, and Neuroscience therapeutic areas
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for gathering, consolidating, and maintaining Ipsen's perspectives on externally monitored assets and companies.
  • Maintain institutional knowledge of previous opportunity evaluations and strategic discussions.

Strategic Business Development and Transaction Support

  • Provide ad hoc support on selected late-stage business development transactions, including opportunity assessments, diligence preparation, competitive analyses, valuation support, and preparation of internal decision-making materials.
  • Participate in transaction teams as appropriate, gaining exposure to the evaluation and execution of strategic licensing, acquisition, and collaboration opportunities.
  • While transaction support will provide valuable development opportunities, the primary focus of the role will remain the identification, monitoring, prioritization, and strategic assessment of external partnering opportunities across Ipsen's therapeutic areas.

HOW - Knowledge & Experience
