Description
Keene State College invites applicants for the position of College Registrar to provide strategic leadership and administrative direction for the Registrar’s Office and provide operational oversight for the various functions of the unit by ensuring clear accountability and metrics (course registration, degree certification, enrollment reporting, academic catalog, and final exam scheduling).
Reporting to the Associate Provost as a member of the Academic Affairs leadership team, the College Registrar ensures regulatory compliance, including FERPA, maintenance and protection of all student records, and stewardship of the student information system.
The College Registrar supports Keene State College’s shared governance process in the development, modification, and implementation of curriculum, academic policies and practices in alignment with the College’s mission, vision and strategic plans. The College Registrar works as a collaborative partner with the Provost's Office, academic units and departments, the College Senate, Student Financial Services, Enrollment and Student Engagement, Student Academic Support Services, and the University System of New Hampshire Enterprise Technology and Services to provide essential information and services. This responsibility will include participation in the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) migration project including leadership where appropriate.
The College Registrar serves as an integral member of the College’s strategic planning team working to deliver on its new strategic plan, specific focus will be on building transfer pathways in collaboration with both state and regional partners (NEBHE). The College Registrar ensures sustainable methods of providing support to the academic community while upholding the integrity of academic programs. The College Registrar will represent the Registrar’s Office in USNH system, regional, and national committees and communities. The College Registrar will ensure practices that enhance success for the varied populations (undergraduate, graduate, continuing education, transfer, and alumni) and will collaborate with the appropriate office(s) innovation on the College’s CTE (Career and Technical Education) partnerships.
Duties/Responsibilities
(40%)
- Provide strategic leadership and administrative direction for the Registrar’s Office as well as operational oversight for the various functions of the unit by ensuring clear accountability and metrics (course registration, degree certification, enrollment reporting, academic catalog, and final exam scheduling).
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including FERPA, maintenance and protection of student records, and stewardship of the student information system. Establish and maintain College policy.
(25%)
- Collaborate with Registrar’s Office staff and Enterprise Technology and Services to review and recommend software applications/systems and system enhancements to support the services offered by the Registrar’s Office.
- Serve as a member of the implementation team taking a leadership role as appropriate. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of student information systems, data reporting while adhering to KSC academic policies and procedures, and FERPA.

- Work as a collaborative partner across the campus to provide essential information and services.
- Ensure sustainable methods of providing support to the academic community while upholding the integrity of academic programs.
- Ensure practices that enhance success for the varied populations (undergraduate, graduate, continuing education, transfer, and alumni).
- Collaborate on the College’s CTE (Career and Technical Education) partnerships.

- Represent the Registrar’s Office and Keene State College on campus, USNH, regional, and national committees and communities.
- Attend all Senate Curriculum and Monthly meetings.
(5%)
- Personnel supervision and budget management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five-seven (5-7) years of progressively responsible and successful administrative experience at a senior level in a Registrar's office or related area.
- Prior supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated strategic leadership, planning and change management skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to establish collegial relationships within and outside of the College and to work collaboratively to address the needs and priorities of the College, the region, and the University System of New Hampshire.
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrated success in leveraging various software applications/systems to continually adapt and meet the needs of the operations.
- Familiarity and demonstrated aptitude with Colleague or similar enterprise student information system.
- Demonstrated experience integrating processes, curriculum management, catalog preparation, scheduling and FERPA.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications including Word, Excel as well as student information databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience at a smaller higher education institution
- Master’s degree
- Record management data analysis experience
- Demonstrated proficiency working in large data systems such as a student information system, i.e., Ellucian/Colleague, WEBI, Banner, Workday.

Salary is commensurate with experience, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off. This position falls within the collective bargaining unit for the Keene State College Directors & Supervisors Association (KSCDSA), an affiliate of the National Education Association of New Hampshire (NEA-NH).

Compensation Pay Range:
