Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. The position requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate documentation and budget oversight. The Senior Technician also provides hands-on training and supports continuous improvement efforts to uphold quality and operational excellence across company facilities.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance.
- Proficiency in multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment operation.
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor coordination.
- Effective leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and train associates and technicians.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support team goals and continuous improvement.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
