Position: Western Colorado University invites applications for the full-time position of Post-Award Grants Analyst. The position reports to the Controller, works closely with the Accounting department, the Pre-Award Specialist, and Department administrative staff, and is responsible for the management of all University grants, from setup to closeout. This job is eligible for remote work.
Responsibilities: The Post-Award Grants Analyst is responsible for administering funding from federal, state, and private grants/sponsored projects awarded to the university, ensuring the institution meets compliance and financial reporting requirements. This position will also work closely with department finance, providing data analysis to help guide them in their decision-making throughout the grant.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year working in an accounting-related field, which may be substituted for an advanced finance or accounting degree.
Preferred Qualifications: A degree in finance or accounting, one year of post-award grants management, Workday experience, and Excel data analysis experience.
Compensation: $50,000-60,000. This position is FLSA exempt. Western offers an excellent benefits package including shared premiums for a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, and other insurance options. After one year of employment, Western provides free tuition for dependents enrolled full time in undergraduate programs for up to four years.
