Join us!

Your Impact:

As the Head of Communications for LATAM, you will serve as a strategic regional leader, driving internal and external communication strategies while spearheading execution of the communications program in Brazil. Operating in a highly complex, fast-paced, and matrixed environment, you will lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing lean team of communication professionals.

A key focus will be to translate business strategies and innovative technologies into compelling and engaging narratives that resonate with audiences. This is a fantastic opportunity to act as a senior advisor to regional executives while helping to shape our external reputation and drive world-class communication outcomes with impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the LATAM internal and external communications strategy, integrating global priorities with market dynamics and regional business priorities, while directly leading execution and strategy for the Brazil market. Surface regional market trends and advocate for LATAM priorities to influence global communications strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted communications partner to senior leaders across LATAM, providing strategic counsel on reputation, messaging, and stakeholder engagement, while proactively mitigating reputational risks through contingency planning and crisis leadership.
  • Lead on defining current and desired perceptions, aligning narratives across audiences including employees, media, customers, and partners, while acting as a strategic liaison between international communications leadership, the regional executive team, and regional communications, PR agencies, and media.
  • Lead a team of communicators, overseeing budgets, PR agencies, and project timelines to ensure effective, coordinated execution across multi-channel campaigns. Champion transformation initiatives, including new AI workflows, and share best practices to build a culture of excellence across the function.
  • Manage measurement frameworks to track the effectiveness of campaigns and report on their business impact to regional stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Full professional fluency in Portuguese, Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a closely related field, plus a minimum of 10+ years of progressive professional experience in corporate communications, public relations agencies, or media-related businesses.
  • Exceptional editorial acumen and writing skills, with a proven ability to distil complex ideas into clear, concise, and actionable copy.
  • Deep understanding of crisis and issues management, with proven experience protecting organizational reputation.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing communications professionals at varying career levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using AI tools to reimagine processes, optimize workflows, and drive enhanced communication outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience influencing and collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders across a large, matrixed organization.
  • Existing network of media relationships within the Brazil and broader LATAM market.
  • A growth mindset coupled with a demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and champion innovative communication approaches, including transformation initiatives such as new AI workflows.
  • Proven success operating within a large, complex global organization, with the ability to build consensus and collaborate effectively across diverse time zones and markets.
