Assistant Director of Public Works/Utilities

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Public Administration, or related field. Eight (8) or more years’ utilities experience, including at least three years of supervisory or management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment. Professional Engineer certification is preferred. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain satisfactory driving record throughout employment.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
