We are a fast-growing, highly collaborative team of platform engineers, AI engineers, and data scientists who value technical depth, ownership, and pragmatic execution. As a Senior SRE in our India hub, you will tackle complex networking and service mesh challenges across a global footprint. Your expertise in Anthos and Istio will be critical in maintaining the high-availability platform that powers Cisco's most advanced AI initiatives. 

Your Impact 

• Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to provision and manage scalable GCP and On-premise Kubernetes resources and Docker containers. 

• Configure and optimize Anthos Service Mesh (ASM) and Istio for service-to-service communication, security, and observability. 

• Implement and audit IAM roles and GCP Quotas, ensuring the environment is "Secure by Design" with robust encryption and secrets updates. 

• Build and leverage observability dashboards using Elasticsearch and Kibana to monitor system health and provide proactive alerts on performance and cost. 

• Execute capacity planning and scaling for new feature rollouts, ensuring the environment stays within defined cost envelopes and security standards. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. 

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud/On-prem Operations or DevOps. 

• Strong proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker. 

• Extensive experience with IAM implementation, GCP Quota management, and Anthos Service Mesh (ASM)/Istio. 

• Proven experience with Apigee and the ELK stack. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Jenkins, Spinnaker, and GitHub for automated delivery. 

• Proven ability to manage hybrid traffic between cloud and on-premise platforms. 

• Strong analytical skills for cost envelope management and capacity planning. 

• Advanced proficiency with cloud provider CLIs and automation scripting.
