Job Title: HR Manager – Payroll Operations (Multi-Country)
Location: Pune/Bangalore

Overview: We are seeking an experienced HR Manager specializing in payroll management to lead our HR payroll operations team across multiple countries. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensure compliance with local labor laws, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and foster a culture of accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency in payroll services.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll HR processing team to ensure high performance and accuracy.
• Assign tasks, monitor workload, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Payroll Processing & Compliance:
• Be a final reviewer for all payroll inputs shared with Finance team
• Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payroll for multiple countries.
• Ensure adherence to internal process guidelines required to meet audit requirement.
• Collaborate with local payroll vendors and finance teams to maintain compliance.
• Regular reconciliation process of workday and Payroll records
Policy Development & Implementation:
• Develop, update, and enforce payroll policies and procedures.
• Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline payroll operations.
Data Management & Reporting:
• Ensure accurate maintenance of payroll data, including salary, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
• Generate payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with Location HR, Finance, and other support teams to align payroll activities with organizational policies.
• Act as a point of escalation for employee complaint related to payroll.
Technology & Systems:
• Lead efforts for payroll vendor integrations with HRSM
Audit & Risk Management:
• Conduct regular reconciliation and audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Represent Payroll team in internal and external audits
Qualifications:
• MBA in Human resources or Finance
• Additional Payroll certificate preferred.
• Proven experience (10 + years) in payroll management, preferably managing multi-country payroll.
• Strong understanding of international payroll laws, tax regulations, and social security systems.
• Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with global organizations or remote teams.
• Knowledge of HR compliance standards across different regions.
