Omni Aerospace is seeking an experienced Planner to join our team. You will be reporting directly to the Manufacturing Planning Supervisor. This is a great opportunity if you want to be a part of a growing organization with a small company feel. This is an in-office position, you must live within a commutable distance from Wichita. We are looking to hire someone quickly, so this opportunity won’t be around long!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develops and plans manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
· Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
· Develops process templates for use by others.
· Develops and documents new job practices, techniques and standards.
· Works under minimal direction.
· Accurately create initial Bill of Material from drawings and engineering documents provided from the customer
· Ability to complete necessary paperwork and clocking within ERP system
Requirements
• Minimum one years’ experience with production engineering planning required.
• One to two years’ CNC machining and /or assembly experience preferred.
• Two or more years in a quality position can be substituted for operations experience.
• Drafting skills (CATIA to 2D), a plus.
• Works under minimal direction.
• Experience in six S and lean manufacturing.
• Ability to work with existing and develop new suppliers and processes.
• An engineering/technical background to understand and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Is proficient with General Dimensioning and Tolerance standards.
• Capable to prepare plan labor & material to meet production schedules and cost targets.
• Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings
• Ability to multitask in a rapidly growing organization
• Having the ability to draft check drawings with Catia would be desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using an MRP or ERP system (example: JobBOSS, Syteline)
• Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints
• Understand manufacturing processes necessary to build components
• Good communication skills both written and oral
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• CATIA or ENOVIA knowledge / experience
