Job Responsibilities :
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving merchant acquisition and revenue growth for Fiuu's Payment Services in the Philippines. This role focuses on building strong merchant and partner relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering payment solutions tailored to client needs. The ideal candidate is highly sales-driven, results-oriented, technically conversant in payment technologies, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company's payment gateway and acquiring products and their unique value propositions, and effectively communicate these benefits to merchants and partners.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and merchant acquisition targets in the Philippines.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across key verticals such as e-commerce, retail, F&B, travel, and digital services.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with merchants, banks, e-wallet providers, payment schemes, and channel partners.
- Understand merchant needs — including technical and integration requirements — and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored payment solutions.
- Engage merchants on payment technology topics such as API integrations, checkout and payment flows, tokenization, and fraud and risk tools, working alongside product and technical teams to scope solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, operations, compliance, and customer success, to align sales efforts with broader company objectives and ensure smooth merchant onboarding and successful delivery of solutions.
- Lead negotiations and structure deals that maximize business value, including pricing and commercial terms.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, regulatory developments (including BSP requirements), and emerging opportunities in the Philippine payments landscape.
- Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations.
- Track sales performance metrics, maintain an accurate pipeline, provide regular reports, and recommend improvements.
- Represent Razer Merchant Services at industry events such as expos, conferences, and trade shows, enhancing our brand and building a robust professional network.
Pre-Requisites:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5–8 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in payments, FinTech, acquiring, or e-commerce.
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in the Philippine market.
- Solid understanding of the Philippine payments landscape, including card acquiring, e-wallets, QR Ph, InstaPay/PESONet, and BSP regulations.
- Familiarity with payment technologies, such as payment gateway APIs and integrations, checkout solutions, tokenization, 3-D Secure, recurring billing, and fraud/risk management tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
- Ability to build strategic partnerships and merchant relationships, with an established network of relevant contacts.
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
