About your team

System department is to provide delivery and support services to internal systems.

About your role
The position is for an experienced senior Full Stack developer/specialist. The candidate will have deep expertise in backend development—particularly in Java, databases, and web service technologies—along with solid knowledge and hands‑on experience in application security, especially in API authentication.

The candidate should be able to implement complex business logic. As S/he may do development and deployment in the AWS environment, the AWS knowledge and experience would be a plus.

The successful candidate will deliver complex delivery tasks which would involve interaction with the business and system analysts for understanding the requirements followed by design, development and unit testing of the software. The candidate is expected to support global customers, so the English skill is required.

When required, the candidate will perform application performance tuning, identifying bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.

The role may need support Fidelity Global partners such those in the Canada, UK, Indian, Hong Kong etc. based on business needs, the individual will need to work night shifts for 2-3 days per week (Shift working time from 1PM to 10 PM). An allowance will be provided on the shift day per company’s policy.

The candidate is expected to display professional ethics in his/her approach to work and exhibit a high level ownership within a demanding working environment.

About you

•           Extensive experience in Java/Web/API development.

•           Experience in Third party frameworks, Framework development experience, Oracle and SQL

•           Experience in workflow related technologies

•           Experience with AWS or other cloud systems

•           Experience software development to integrate with different backend systems

•           Experience in Tools that assist Development, Testing, Build and Source code Versioning.

•           Documentation skills and familiarity with project management methodologies.

•           API Integration Platform experience will be an added advantage.

•           Experience & good understanding of full development life cycle

•           Delivery and results focused.

•           Well presented with good communication skills.

•           Able to prioritise own activities, work under pressure.

•           Team player.

•           Business English is required.

One last point – if it goes without saying, it should not be included. This means things like ‘good communication skills’ and ‘basic computer competency’.
