Overview
Reporting to the Director, Global Brand & Communications, the Manager, Brand & Communications will support the execution of Assembly's global brand, communications, thought leadership, and executive visibility strategies. This role helps ensure consistent, high-quality communications that strengthen Assembly's reputation among clients, employees, prospective talent, industry partners, and the broader marketplace. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, storyteller, and project manager who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative global environment.
Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Partner with the Global SVP of Brand to execute Assembly's global brand strategy and positioning across four regions, with North America as a primary focus.
- Maintain consistent brand messaging and visual identity across markets, channels, and stakeholder groups.
- Develop narratives and communications materials that articulate Assembly's vision, values, capabilities, and competitive differentiation.
Corporate & Internal Communications
- Draft and execute internal and external communications, including executive messages, company announcements, key messaging frameworks, and employee communications.
- Support organizational change, business transformation, and major company initiatives through clear, timely, and audience-appropriate communications.
- Partner with People Operations, regional leaders, and functional teams to align messaging and support town halls, leadership meetings, company events, and employee engagement efforts.
Thought Leadership & Content Development
- Support Assembly's thought leadership strategy by researching, writing, editing, and coordinating white papers, industry reports, executive articles, case studies, client insights, and conference presentations.
- Partner with subject matter experts across Media, Data, Technology, Commerce, and Analytics to translate complex topics into compelling, accessible content.
- Manage the editorial calendar, reviews, approvals, and delivery timelines in support of brand and business objectives.
Executive Visibility, PR & Industry Influence
- Research and coordinate speaking engagements, conferences, panels, webinars, podcasts, media appearances, awards, and industry recognition opportunities.
- Develop presentations, speeches, talking points, briefing materials, and keynote content for senior leaders.
- Coordinate with PR agencies, media partners, freelancers, and creative partners to amplify priority stories and strengthen market presence.
- Support timely, coordinated responses to reputation-related communications issues when required.
Program Management & Collaboration
- Manage multiple brand and communications workstreams, stakeholders, deadlines, and approval processes with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Coordinate content and creative resources across the organization to deliver work on time and to a consistently high standard.
- Track communications KPIs and prepare reporting on brand, communications, thought leadership, and engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation, creativity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- 6-8+ years of experience in Brand, Communications, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Content Strategy, or a related discipline.
- Experience within media, marketing, consulting, technology, professional services, or a related industry; global or multi-market experience is beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience developing executive communications and thought leadership content, including articles, presentations, white papers, reports, or industry research.
- Experience executing integrated brand and communications programs across multiple audiences and channels.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, agencies, and external partners while managing competing priorities.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and compelling narratives.
- Strong verbal communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Solid understanding of brand development, reputation management, corporate communications, and content strategy.
- Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, incorporate feedback, and build alignment across a global organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a global communications or marketing agency environment.
- Experience supporting corporate transformation, mergers, acquisitions, or significant organizational change.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience using content, project management, media monitoring, or analytics tools to support communications programs.

- Timely delivery of thought leadership, executive visibility, PR, employee communications, and industry engagement programs.
