Overview
The SVP, Network Management is responsible for leading and optimizing Mastercard Move’s global cross-border network, ensuring industry-leading reach, resiliency, economics, and partner competitiveness. This role owns the strategy, development, and performance of Mastercard’s receive-side network ecosystem, including network partners, financial institutions, payment providers, and settlement bank relationships.
Reporting to EVP, Cross Border Services, the incumbent will lead a global team responsible for expanding and strengthening Mastercard’s cross-border network capabilities while partnering closely with Product, Treasury, Engineering, Commercialization, Regional teams, and key external partners. The role plays a critical part in enabling Mastercard Move’s growth strategy by ensuring the network delivers scale, reliability, regulatory readiness, and commercial value across all corridors worldwide.
Role
• The role will include senior direct reports responsible for network strategy, partner management, settlement banking relationships, network expansion, and network performance management.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the global receive-side network strategy for Mastercard Move and Cross-Border Services.
• Manage, develop, and expand Mastercard’s network partner ecosystem, including banks, financial institutions, payment providers, FX partners, and other payout partners.
• Build and execute on direct to Scheme connectivity
• Drive network reach, resiliency, economics, and competitive positioning across all corridors and markets.
• Lead commercial negotiations and relationship management with strategic network partners and settlement banks globally.
• Partner with Treasury to optimize settlement bank relationships, support liquidity, settlement, and operational resiliency objectives.
• Identify and execute opportunities to expand network coverage, improve partner performance, and reduce costs.
• Drive Send issuer-side enablement in partnership with regional teams to support domestic and cross-border growth objectives.
• Establish network performance standards, KPIs, governance, and reporting to ensure world-class partner performance.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Commercialization teams to support new corridor launches, product enhancements, and market expansion initiatives.
• Serve as the executive owner for network-related stakeholder relationships across Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and Mastercard Transaction Services.
• Ensure the network remains compliant with evolving regulatory, market and security requirements globally.
• Represent Mastercard in executive-level discussions with network partners, strategic customers, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a high-performing global organization aligned to Mastercard’s values and leadership expectations.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned executive with deep expertise in cross-border payments, network management, banking partnerships, and financial ecosystems.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Significant leadership experience in payments, banking, fintech, cross-border payments, or account-to-account networks.
• Expertise in network partnerships, settlement models, correspondent banking, and regulated financial ecosystems.
• Proven success building, managing, and optimizing large-scale partner networks across multiple geographies.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience negotiating complex strategic partnerships.
• Executive presence and credibility with senior leaders at banks, fintechs, payment providers, and financial institutions.
• Ability to lead through complexity, influence across a global matrix, and develop high-performing distributed teams.
• Track record of driving growth, resilience, innovation, and transformation in complex global businesses.
