Description
We are looking for a Bookkeeping Assistant to join our Outsourcing team based in Sandwich, with a hybrid working model of three days per week in the office. Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you'll support the delivery of bookkeeping, management accounts, and outsourced finance services, helping ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills, build strong client relationships, and gain exposure to a wide range of businesses in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the role
- Process bookkeeping, prepare VAT returns, and other outsourcing deliverables for a diverse client portfolio such as sales & purchase ledger functions.
- Supporting the successful delivery of client assignments, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a day-to-day contact for queries.
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring deadlines.
- Attending client meetings and gaining exposure to a variety of industries and businesses.
- Working closely with Seniors, Managers, and Directors to deliver an excellent client experience.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients.
- Supporting and collaborating with other junior team members where appropriate.
What we're looking for
- Punctual, responsible and reliable
- Demonstrate a “can do attitude”
- AAT level 1 - 2
- Maths & English GCSE - C or equivalent
- Xero/QuickBooks experience
