Background
Data Center Technologies is a fast-growing business area within Munters, providing energy-efficient cooling solutions for the global data center industry. As the market continues to expand and evolve, DCT is strengthening its capabilities in strategy, business development, M&A support and project execution. To support this growth, we are looking for a Business Development & PMO Manager to help drive strategic initiatives from analysis and planning through to execution and value realization.
Summary
As Business Development & PMO Manager, you will support the development and execution of DCT’s strategy by driving selected strategic projects, preparing business cases and decision material, supporting M&A and partnership initiatives, and helping ensure that key initiatives are translated into clear plans, actions and measurable outcomes. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders across DCT and Munters Group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the refinement, articulation, and execution of the Business Area strategy. Driving deployment and engagement across internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, scope, plan, execute and deliver selected strategic projects. Define the scope, deliverables, project plan, governance and stakeholders, and ensure the intended value is realized through effective cross-functional and external engagement. Deliverables may range from Board-level business cases and decision materials to practical implementation programs, such as bringing a new factory or capability online.
- Identify potential partnership or acquisition targets and assess their strategic fit.
- Support corporate partnering efforts (negotiation, coordination of due diligence, etc.)
- Conduct research on emerging business trends identifying developments and changes to the industry and its competitive landscape. Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and economic factors to inform growth strategies.
- Team up with the team of Offer Strategy and Portfolio Management to support the design and delivery of commercial best practices to maximize profitable growth through business intelligence, segmentation and targeting, product mix, go-to-market models, channel management and other commercial key areas.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders in product management, research and development, sales, and finance to support the execution of the business area's strategy.
- Build business cases and oversee development projects across the BA
- Support selected M&A projects, including early-stage evaluation, business case development, commercial due diligence, integration planning and support for ongoing acquisitions, as required
- Support selected Munters Group-wide initiatives that affect or have material touchpoints with DCT, representing DCT interests and coordinating required actions across the division
- Track the delivery and value realisation of strategic projects and business development initiatives, reporting progress, risks, decisions required and recommended actions to senior leadership

You are comfortable with ambiguity, able to quickly understand new topics, and can translate complex information into clear recommendations and practical next steps. You collaborate well across functions and geographies and can influence stakeholders without relying on formal authority. You are also eager to immerse yourself in the data center market and learn from experienced industry leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex topics.
- Good business acumen and interest in industrial B2B markets, preferably technology, manufacturing, infrastructure or data centers.
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability and willingness to work without direct authority or a large team.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, governance, stakeholder management and follow-up.
- Ability to prepare clear decision material, business cases and executive-level presentations.
- High level of ownership, attention to detail and ability to drive progress independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in an international environment.
- Curious and willing to learn, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Comfortable using digital tools, data and AI-enabled ways of working to improve productivity and quality.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally (up to appr. 15%).
We would expect you to have:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Management or a related field.
- Approximately 2–5 years of experience from management consulting, corporate strategy, business development, project management, business control or a relevant industrial/technology experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience from international or cross-functional projects is an advantage.
- Experience with M&A, market analysis, business cases, PMO or commercial excellence is meriting.
