Regional Head of Maintenance
Location: Northampton, Bridge Meadow Way, NN4 5EB (regional responsibility)
Salary: £50,000 & Excellent Benefits
Contract: 40hrs
Shifts: 9-5pm & On call duty's when required

To maintain these standards, we are seeking a dedicated Regional Head of Maintenance to lead maintenance operations across the Central region.
In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring our villages remain safe, compliant, and operating at the highest standard. You will oversee maintenance teams, manage planned and reactive repairs, and ensure our buildings, grounds, and essential services are consistently well maintained. Through your technical expertise and proactive approach, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding living environment for our residents and supporting the continued success of Richmond Villages.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service within a customer-focused environment.
What your typical day involves
Managing, training, and developing other maintenance employees in the team and keeping a record of all instructions given, especially where use of equipment is involved.
Assisting with staff inductions, specifically relating to emergency exists, fire points and evacuation procedures.
Advising over the phone when off duty or being called out to the Village in emergency situations.
Reporting any defects to the Village manager and identifying issues that require escalation or specialist advice.
Ensuring the outside of the building and grounds are maintained to a safe and good standard of repair, carrying out any works with minimum disruption to residents and staff.
Checking boilers are functioning correctly, free of leaks/defects and that space and water temperatures are correct.
Ensuring that safety and cleanliness within the Village adheres to current regulations and that all health and safety checks are completed and recorded.
Adhering to company purchasing procedures, making every effort to minimise waste and control costs.
Maintaining the office workshop and plant rooms, ensuring all areas are kept clean and all tools/equipment are safely secured
Ensuring all residents’ electrical appliances are checked and tagged ‘safe for use’ adhering to Health and Safety regulations
Who we’re looking for
You have previous experience in a property or maintenance repair role and a good understanding of building services such as electrical distribution and plumbing. A Health and Safety or relevant building, electrical or plumbing qualification would be advantageous. With previous experience of planned maintenance systems and record keeping you have good IT skills and knowledge of statutory requirements.
