About Our Family
We are a busy, active family of four based in Dedham, MA. Both parents work full-time in demanding careers, and our days move fast. Our two daughters are full of personality and energy, each with her own rhythm. Our younger one is high-spirited, big-feeling, and always on the go. She loves being outside, needs physical activity, and brings a contagious energy to everything she does. Our older daughter is in school full-time and benefits from a quieter, more grounded energy when she gets home.
We love being present with our kids, and that's exactly the problem we're trying to solve. Mornings are the heaviest stretch of the day. Getting everyone fed, packed, hair done, and out the door takes more coordination than we have bandwidth for. The mental load of tracking all the details, school schedules, enrichment activities, meals, and everything in between has started to weigh on us. We don't want to be managed out of our own mornings. We want to be at the breakfast table, reading books, while someone who knows what they're doing handles the rest.
We have a weekly house cleaner, a small dog who needs daily walks, and a home that functions best with a tidy and organized presence throughout the day. We're looking for someone who fits seamlessly into our family's rhythm and is excited to grow with us over time.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is proactive, self-directed, and exceptionally organized. You don't wait to be told what needs to happen next. You see it, you do it, and you do it well. You are warm and genuinely good with kids, able to match the energy of a high-spirited preschooler and honor the quieter needs of an older child without missing a beat. You believe in letting kids work things out on their own and prefer coaching over refereeing. You keep a tidy space naturally, not because you were asked, but because it's just how you operate.
You are comfortable behind the wheel, patient in traffic, and someone who genuinely enjoys being active and outdoors. You can physically keep up with a busy, energetic child. You communicate clearly and proactively, keep your phone out of sight around kids, and take family privacy seriously. You are someone this family can trust completely, and you show up every day ready to take the wheel so this family can simply be together.
